Hello, my name is VaTrese Myrick, founder of Amplify Children’s Literacy.

Amplify was created from simply being a mom, community advocate and being a believer in the power of opportunity. I created this organization from the belief of every child deserving the opportunity to discover the joy of reading, build confidence and know that their voice matters.

My passion for literacy began with seeing how important reading is to children’s confidence, learning and future. I wanted to be able to create something much more than simply putting a book in a child hand. I wanted to create something meaningful that help children connect with books, explore their creativity, develop confidence and see themself as leaders of the future.

Amplify Children’s Literacy was created to make reading fun, accessible and empowering for children in our communities. Through reading experiences, book access, creative activities, community partnerships, and youth centered programs. Our goal is to AMPLIFY their reading, AMPLIFY their confidence and AMPLIFY their possibilities.

As we grow, my vision is to build programs that reach children where they are. Whether this is at home, school, hospitals or public events.

This is more than a non-profit. Amplify is a piece of the legacy I hope to leave for the children and future generations. Remember when we invest in the children, we invest in our FUTURE.

With Love.
